How to use the Schedule Builder
Decide whether the issue is a Door, Window or Room Finish schedule, establish its identifiers and source revision, and gather the related drawing, specification and performance information.
The workspace starts blank. Load example temporarily fills the controls with demonstration data; reload or use the tool’s New or reset action, where provided, before entering live information.
- Choose the schedule type, UK or US region and Metric or Imperial display before adding rows.
- For doors, complete mark, quantity, location, opening dimensions, handing, leaf and frame, ratings, accessibility, hardware, finish and references.
- For windows, complete mark, operation, size, frame, glazing, thermal and other performance, hardware, finish and references; for room finishes, complete room, substrate, preparation, surfaces, product and performance.
- Resolve duplicate marks and required-field warnings, then save the editable record and produce the PDF from the same checked issue.

Suggested workflow
Place the tool in a controlled project or practice process rather than treating its output as an isolated verdict.
- Set stable identifiers and populate rows from the controlled model or drawings.

Check before saving or issuing
- Marks and room references are unique and match every affected drawing and model object.
- Required performance fields are explicit, including Not applicable where genuinely reviewed.
- Dimensions retain the correct unit basis after switching Metric or Imperial display.
Common problems
- Load example seems to do nothing: begin from New or a blank direct route; the example should then add worked rows.
- Rows show incomplete warnings: open the row and complete the schedule-type required fields rather than hiding them.
- A unit switch changes meaning: check the original source unit and canonical dimension before issue.
