Develop repeat-safe architectural textures, coordinated drawing hatches and physically scaled material maps from one recipe.

How to use the Seamless Texture Editor

Start with a measured module or repeat, a source image you are permitted to use, and the export requirements of the receiving CAD, BIM or rendering application.

The editor opens with a starter recipe so the visual controls have immediate feedback. Replace its pattern, materials and dimensions with verified project information before exporting.

  • Use Choose Pattern to select the bond, board, tile or geometric layout; set Rows, Columns and any pattern-specific angle or sequence controls.
  • Use Choose Material or upload a source image, then set Width, Height and Source image width so the preview represents a real physical size.
  • Set horizontal and vertical joints, material placement, edges, profile and finish. Use the 2D and 3D previews to inspect repetition and relief.
  • Open the Hatch or surface-map views to configure the exact output, then choose PNG, JPEG, PAT, SVG, DXF, a surface-map PNG or a plugin package from Download.

Running-bond brick facade

Set-up
Choose a running-bond pattern, enter the measured brick face and separate horizontal and vertical joint sizes, then select a brick and mortar source.
Result
Produce a physically scaled visual repeat plus a model-pattern PAT based on the same module.
Review
Import both into a test wall and measure several courses; check cropped units, repeat seams and printed line density.

Timber board interior

Set-up
Choose a board layout, calibrate Source image width to the photographed sample, and use multiple material slots only where the real installation varies.
Result
Export the base image and only the bump, normal or roughness maps needed by the target renderer.
Review
Inspect grain repetition at the intended camera distance and confirm whether the renderer expects OpenGL or DirectX normal orientation.

Suggested workflow

Place the tool in a controlled project or practice process rather than treating its output as an isolated verdict.

  • Record the manufacturer sample, photograph or library asset and its measured dimensions before editing.
  • Build one approved recipe and derive visual maps and hatch linework from that same geometry.
  • Validate scale, seams, rotation and map conventions in the actual project application before publishing the asset.

Check before saving or issuing

  • The repeat dimensions match a known product or measured sample rather than a visual estimate.
  • The hatch and raster outputs describe the same bond, orientation and joint geometry.
  • Color and relief have been checked in the receiving application and under representative lighting.

Common problems

  • Correct-looking but wrongly sized texture: recalibrate Source image width and the unit Width and Height, then re-export.
  • Visible seams or obvious clones: use a cleaner crop, reduce baked lighting and inspect the full repeat rather than one unit.
  • Relief appears inverted: switch the normal-map orientation or use a height-based bump map supported by the target renderer.

Output

A reusable material recipe with raster texture, PBR maps and supported CAD hatch exports.
